Just Sam, who won the 18th season of American Idol, was hospitalized this week.

The 23-year-old singer, whose real name is Samantha Diaz, took to her Instagram Stories to share updates about her medical troubles.

Sam posted to her stories on Wednesday (August 24) and said, “Thank you to everyone that checked on me. I am ALIVE and out of the hospital.” By the next day, she was back in the hospital.

Heavy reports that Sam shared a video of herself wearing a face mask in the hospital and the sounds of a beeping machine could be heard in the background. She captioned the clip, “I need a better hospital bruh. I hate it here tbh.”

Sam has not explained why she’s in the hospital.

As of Friday (August 26), it appears that Sam is still hospitalized. “I’m grateful for the prayers everyone. I’m doing much better now,” she wrote in a story on Friday.

Sam also shared a photo of a medical scale and wrote, “100 lbs is crazy. I seriously need help.”

Earlier this year, Sam opened up about how she “ended up broke” after paying off her record label.
