INTEGRATED PHARMA SERVICES | FREDERICK Integrated Pharma Services (IPS) has received a $100,000 grant from the State of Maryland for manufacturing the much-needed surgical masks.
CARROLL COMMUNITY COLLEGE | WESTMINSTER Carroll Community College’s digital design and fabrication program is leading an effort to produce face coverings, and its technical support program is helping to fabricate respirator masks with 3-D printers.
UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, COLLEGE PARK | COLLEGE PARK UMD is delivering more than 12,000 N95 respirators and more than 12,000 surgical face masks to the state university’s medical system in Baltimore. The Fischell Department of Bioengineering had collected 14,650 pairs of gloves, 2,660 surgical masks, and hundreds of other articles of PPE and supplies.
SALISBURY UNIVERSITY | SALISBURY The university library’s 3D printing technology and devices is helping produce face shields for health care workers at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
HAGERSTOWN COMMUNITY COLLEGE | HAGERSTOWN Hagerstown Community College donated thousands of medical masks and other PPE to Washington County first responders.
STERILEX | HUNT VALLEY This disinfectant manufacturer is donating free products to 20 local food businesses. Sterilex plans to donate 2.5-gallon kits of its proprietary cleaning solution to Greater Baltimore food businesses trying to reopen safely as COVID-19 persists. The kits will include free disinfectant, a portable FOAM-iT sprayer, and a sanitation guide from Sterliex’s experts.

KLEIN’S SHOPRITE | HARFORD COUNTY This family-run grocery chain has donated 10,000 N-95 face masks to the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health System.

PATRIOT SPACES | DUNKIRK This life-cycle service company is manufacturing portable medical stations that could relieve hospital overcrowding by converting storage containers into miniature hospital rooms, mobile testing stations, and quarantine shelters. The company has delivered stations to United Medical Center under a contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as well as to hospitals in California, Maryland, and Lutherville. The units are designed to be located inside tents, with all of the mechanical and electrical equipment placed on the outside of the unit.
ECLIPSE GROUP | ANNAPOLIS This defense contractor is assisting a local hospital and emergency personnel and started an effort in the Annapolis area to produce industrial respirator masks and face shields accepted by Anne Arundel Medical Center. Using 3D printers donated by local area schools, libraries, and private citizens as well as cash contributions for material purchases, the company is making PPE.
MARTY’S BAG WORKS | EDGEWATER This sewing and embroidery operation is manufacturing personal protective equipment such as medical gowns, face masks, and shields for medical professionals.
JAMES COCHRAN AUCTIONEERS | BOONSBORO This auction house has donated 5,000 Tyvek coveralls to the Washington County Emergency Operations Center for use by EMS, fire, law enforcement, and long term care facilities. Jim and Leslie Cochran have donated 40,000 Tyvek suits to agencies and hospitals throughout the area.
SOMETHING VINTAGE RENTALS | TEMPLE HILLS This rental company known for vintage special occasion tableware and furniture is sewing 100% cotton face masks for hospitals.
SIX FLAGS AMERICA | LARGO This local amusement park is donating 1,440 plastic ponchos to workers on the front line in Baltimore. Additionally, a total of 2,440 plastic ponchos were donated to front line workers in Prince George’s County. This local theme park also donated the use of one of its largest parking lots to be used as a site for Maryland Department of Health COVID-19 testing.

THE ANNAPOLIS OPERA | ANNAPOLIS Customers with the Annapolis Opera have produced and donated hundreds of cloth face masks for front line workers.
UNDER ARMOUR | BALTIMORE Under Armour pivoted operations to produce and donate no-sew face masks and fanny packs for Maryland health care workers and pledged $2 million for COVID-19 relief funds.
FLIR SYSTEMS | ELKRIDGE This manufacturer donated PPE to Annapolis, Howard County, and Baltimore County Fire Department front line workers. The donation included 105 advanced fire and chemical flash suits valued at more than $240,000 that were previously used by FLIR for the company’s work with a U.S. Department of Defense chem-bio detection and training program.
JEFFERSON PATTERSON PARK AND MUSEUM | ST. LEONARD This museum’s Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab supplied CalvertHealth Medical Center and EMS services with a number of face masks and Tyvek lab coats, as well as making more than ten gallons of hand sanitizer for use by Calvert health care professionals at the Calvert Emergency Operations Center.
ROUTE ONE APPAREL | TOWSON Typically producing apparel, accessories, and home goods, Route One shifted its operation to make Maryland pride face masks. They have also donated more than 25,000 masks to front line workers.
MARYLAND PRINT HOUSE | MANCHESTER This print house is manufacturing fabric face masks and guards and opened an online platform to purchase these products. The company has shipped more than 150,000 cloth face masks across the country.
JOYFUL BATH CO. | NORTH BETHESDA A grant recipient of the Montgomery County Local Production Fund, Joyful Bath Co. is manufacturing a non-toxic, all-purpose surface cleaner with 5% citric acid active ingredient to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
HENLEY CONSTRUCTION | GAITHERSBURG This commercial general contractor and construction manager donated 500 face shields to Suburban Hospital in Bethesda and an additional 500 face shields to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Gaithersburg.
PASSION FOR EZRA | COLUMBIA This custom art and design company not only made masks for the general public, but donated a mask to first responders for every mask sold to the general public. To date they have donated more than 3,000 masks to facilities, nurses, and hospitals in Maryland and across the country.
ROBOTIC RESEARCH | CLARKSBURG This technology company has created a unique design for reusable face shields and is providing them to health care teams in hospitals around the Greater Washington Metro area. The company also just opened up its patented design of its sterile 3D printer by waiving licensing fees globally for any application of the printers related to fighting the current public health pandemic.
VISION TECHNOLOGIES | GLEN BURNIE Vision Technologies donated 2,000 masks to local hospitals. Both Mercy Hospital and Anne Arundel Medical Center each received 500 KN95 masks and 500 surgical masks.
OASIS CHURCH | HANOVER This church provided face masks to families and businesses in their community.
COCA-COLA NORTH AMERICA, COCA-COLA CONSOLIDATED, MAKERSRESPOND, AND K&W FINISHING In partnership with the Maryland Department of Commerce and Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), Coca-Cola North America and several partners delivered 50,000 face shields to support health care workers at area hospitals and municipal health departments who are caring for patients with COVID-19. Coca-Cola North America partnered with MakersRespond and K&W Finishing to donate several thousand pounds of recyclable PET plastic to produce the face shields. Once the face shields were manufactured and packaged, Coca-Cola Consolidated delivered the equipment to the State of Maryland.
RESTORAPET | GAITHERSBURG This manufacturer of nutritional supplements for animals began producing hand sanitizer to donate to nursing homes hardest hit by COVID-19 in March.
RANKIN PPE | GAITHERSBURG This group handcrafts washable and reusable PPE for essential workers. They have received a $100,000 grant from the State of Maryland for manufacturing much-needed surgical masks and other vital PPE.
DELMARVA COVID-19 CRAFTERS | SALISBURY This sewing group formed after the founder experienced a PPE shortage in her own nursing agency. They have donated masks and scrub caps to hospitals, home agencies, low-income individuals, government workers, libraries, nursing homes, police departments, and food pantries.
MANTA BIOFUEL | OWINGS MILLS This local renewable energy company pivoted production to create 25,000 face shields for Montgomery County and smaller amounts to local businesses. They also donated face shields to the Institute of Marine & Environmental Technology in Baltimore.
C-CARE | LINTHICUM This cosmetics and personal care manufacturer switched some of its production capacity to produce hand sanitizer. The sanitizer is being delivered to front line workers, including medical personnel, military personnel, and government agencies.
NORTHEAST MAGLEV | BALTIMORE Employee volunteers from Northeast Maglev have donated thousands of reusable masks to first responders, healthcare workers, students, and community members. The company plans to donate more than 13,000 masks to those in need. They are also working with community leaders and organizations to help distribute meals in their community.
KID MUSEUM | BETHESDA This hands-on learning museum’s educators and neighbors 3D-printed and donated over 400 face shields to the Montgomery County government for their administrative teams.
ALLOGRAM | TIMONIUM This local awards manufacturer is working with area businesses throughout the region to make acrylic barriers, partitions, and face shields to help keep their employees and customers safe.
MEDUNI UMSI | NORTH BETHESDA This health care nonprofit donated more than $40,000 of materials, including hospital beds, over-bed tables, ventilators incorporated into anesthesia machines, respirators, bed covers, masks, and gloves. Meduni coordinated with Montgomery County to donate the initial batch of equipment directly to local hospitals, including Holy Cross. Since then, Meduni has continued dropping off PPE to the Montgomery County distribution site.
PROJECT ENHANCEMENT CORPORATION | GERMANTOWN This federal government contractor has donated over $50,000 of mechanical respirators, masks, and gloves to LifeBridge Medical Hospital in Baltimore as well as donations of equipment and supplies to local businesses in Ellicott City.

TAMIL SANGAM OF GREATER WASHINGTON | BELTSVILLE This nonprofit organization donated disposable face masks to communities in Gaithersburg. They have also partnered with other organizations to deliver food and gloves to communities in Silver Spring.
CLEAR MASKS | BALTIMORE This business is producing clear masks so people can communicate better, as many deaf people often rely on facial expressions when talking to each other. The idea for the masks dates back to 2017, when one of the deaf co-founders of Clear Masks went in for surgery. The company teamed up with Xometry, one of the largest 3D printing labs in the area, to manufacture the clear masks. Since the pandemic started, they ramped up production to distribute masks to those who need them most.

TASLY PHARMACEUTICALS | ROCKVILLE This company donated 3,000 bottles of hand sanitizer.
FORMOSAN ASSOCIATION FOR PUBLIC AFFAIRS | DC This nonprofit organization donated 1,000 face shields.

M4REACTOR | SALISBURY This STEM-focused community makerspace is involved with the design and fabrication of PPE equipment, including large acrylic face shields.
THE MAKANA PROJECT | KENSINGTON This volunteer community organization is making and distributing cloth masks for no charge. The organization focuses not only on providing masks to the community, but also increasing community support and expanding the resources available for makers and mask recipients.
JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY AND MEDICINE | BALTIMORE Johns Hopkins has partnered with churches and other organizations to distribute 85,000 reusable face masks to more than 50 community groups, neighborhood associations, and faith-based institutions throughout the Baltimore area.
ICU SHIELD | SALISBURY An Ocean City father-son team launched ICU Shield, the only fully functional face shield with body temperature monitoring.
FASHIONS UNLIMITED | BALTIMORE Fashions Unlimited pivoted from producing apparel to producing masks and gowns. Traditionally a domestic manufacturer for fashion brands with a focus on activewear and stretch fabrics, the company usually cuts and sews a few thousand units a week of a variety of garments. At their peak, they were producing approximately 3,500 masks per day.
CLARKS ACE HARDWARE | ELLICOTT CITY Clarks has donated over $30,000 in N95 and P95 masks, filters, goggles, and 3 million face shields to Howard County General Hospital. Over 10,000 washable masks were donated to the homeless and nonprofits in the Baltimore region. Over $200,000 in hand sanitizer will be donated to the State of Maryland in November.
ROVNER PRODUCTS, INC. | TIMONIUM This company designed a vinyl face shield manufactured with non-traditional materials, repurposed their manufacturing equipment, recruited volunteers for assembly, and donated 3,000 face shields to community health organizations and small businesses. Their face shields are designed to mitigate musicians’ risk of contracting COVID-19 while performing.
AGAM GROUP | ELKRIDGE This company pivoted from making exhibits for trade shows to quarantine rooms for COVID-19 patients. At the beginning of the pandemic, the Agam Group provided temporary hospitals, produced tens of thousands of hygiene barriers, and made quarantine rooms for K-12 schools. Now the company is manufacturing temporary structures, which can be quickly set up, cleaned, sanitized, and scaled for vaccination clinics.
MARYLAND MEDICAL INDUSTRIES | BALTIMORE As the manufacturing brainchild of Mt. Royal Soaps, Quality Mask Supply, SewLab USA, and Nightmare Graphics, Maryland Medical Industries is offering Maryland-made N95 masks en masse for large or small customers. The founders have planned to put out their first run of 50,000 respirator masks by December 21.
TALOS | FULTON Talos has 3D-printed and sewed thousands of masks for first responders and medical practitioners across that state. The company also sponsored several WebEx events for “Maryland relationships,” including an Army veteran celebrating his 100th birthday with his modern-day successor battalion. Talos members participated in numerous online charity events for a wide number of causes, including a large fundraiser for Doctors without Borders.
The following vineyards, breweries, and distilleries have either donated to COVID-19 relief funds or pivoted operations to produce hand sanitizer and ethanol for distribution and donation.

CHOPTANK ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE | DENTON The Operation Round Up Program, which is operated by the nonprofit Choptank Electric Trust, Inc., and is affiliated with Choptank Electric Cooperative, proactively supported local communities on the Eastern Shore. The program donated to local food pantries in Kent, Caroline, Talbot, Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset, and Worcester Counties, along with private charities such as St. Vincent de Paul and Chesapeake Culinary Center/Friends of the Grape Inc. The total donated was more than $15,000 for food support, which is expected to feed more 5,000 families.

In its first round, FrostburgFirst was able to provide 14 Frostburg small businesses with financial assistance to develop e-commerce and online marketing.
MARYLAND PUBLIC TELEVISION | OWINGS MILLS This public-supported TV network pledged donations that net $14,697 for the Maryland Food Bank. MPT informed viewers it planned to donate 20 percent of June pledge dollars raised from three programs to the Maryland Food Bank. Thanks to the generosity of MPT’s viewers, the three series attracted pledges totaling $73,485.
BALTIMORE BUSINESS LENDING AND TRUIST FINANCIAL CORP. | BALTIMORE Baltimore Business Lending and Truist Financial Corp. have joined forces to provide $10,000 grants per each local small business struggling to survive during the COVID-19 pandemic. Truist provided $300,000 through its charitable fund to Baltimore Business Lending, a nonprofit community development financial institution, which will support grants of $10,000 each to 30 businesses located in Baltimore City.
DOORDASH | PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY DoorDash announced that the company will provide $200,000 in local grants as part of its expanded COVID-19 relief grant program to help Prince George’s County restaurants. Restaurants will be able to apply to receive a $5,000 grant to be used to offset costs associated with the ongoing pandemic.
M&T BANK | BALTIMORE M&T Bank committed $333,500 in charitable donations, the majority of which is intended for more than a dozen nonprofit organizations helping Baltimore’s residents and businesses recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. M&T’s latest donations come after the bank contributed more than $3.5 million to about 240 nonprofit partners in greater Baltimore last year.

DAWSON’S MARKET | ROCKVILLE This grocery store donated 500 meals to families in need in the Rockville area during May. Each meal was enough for a family of four, including milk, pasta, sauce, sausage, salad, and dessert. Dawson’s Market also supports local food drives within their community.

HIGH’S | BALTIMORE In an effort to give back to the medical professionals working on the front line, High’s employees donated 1,000 care packages and 60 dozen donuts to local hospitals such as Johns Hopkins Children Center, Anne Arundel County Medical Center, Meritus Health, Union Hospital of Cecil County, and several others within the communities that High’s serves. High’s also extended their “Free Coffee for First Responders” program to medical professionals working to protect our community.

DRAYTON TAX PROFESSIONALS | BALTIMORE This small business advisory firm has been providing free individual and business tax filings for small businesses in Maryland as well as helping small businesses in distressed communities apply for PPP loans.
SECOND CHANCE ADDICTION CARE | POTOMAC Second Chance has helped individuals struggling with addiction during the pandemic, as COVID-19 has shattered people’s support systems and enhanced anxiety, stress, and other reasons why people may turn to drugs and alcohol. It offered telehealth to expand access to safe treatment, and is providing free family therapy for anyone who has a loved one facing addiction. It has also donated food to the local fire department.
INDIAN CULTURAL ASSOCIATION OF HOWARD COUNTY | ELLICOTT CITY This socio-cultural organization pivoted to help the food insecure population in Howard County and surrounding areas. Since the pandemic began in March, more than 250 ICA volunteers have distributed more than 1 million pounds of food at schools, libraries, temples, churches, gurudwaras, apartment complexes, senior homes, trailer parks, homeless/women’s shelters, along with deliveries to individual families. Some of the items distributed include fresh produce, milk, juice, non-perishables, along with household items such as light bulbs and face masks. ICA also provides cooked meals to children.
DIEHL’S FORD SALES | GRANTSVILLE This car dealership provided lunches for the staff of essential businesses during the span of the stay at home order. They have provided lunches for a nursing home, grocery stores, auto centers, doctors offices, dental offices, gas stations, and banks.
THE NONPROFIT VILLAGE CENTER | ROCKVILLE This center has helped more than 43 nonprofits save over $50,000 in technical assistance and individualized coaching on emergency relief support, technology tools for teleworking, and pivoting to new business development. The organization created Community Support Circles, small groups of nonprofits with common challenges, to help them find practical solutions, use peer education, and collaborate on joint venture opportunities or mergers.
THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS | FREDERICK The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints sent food from its main warehouse in Salt Lake City to help feed families in the Frederick area. Roughly 16 to 18 large pallets of food went to Frederick’s food bank, and eight pallets went to Mount Airy Net, a food pantry that operates out of Calvary Church in downtown Mount Airy.
SC&H GROUP | SPARKS This management consulting, audit, and tax firm challenged their employees to buy one meal for local hospital workers through the Josie King Foundation lunch donation program. Within a few days, the SC&H Group team surpassed their original goal of 250 meals, and matched employee donations to reach 886 meals. Starting May 6, National Nurses Day, meals were distributed to local hospitals, including the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Grace Medical Center, Sinai Hospital, Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, and University of Maryland St. Joe’s Medical Hospital.
PURE PLAY EVERY DAY | LA PLATA This nonprofit organization began a weekly series of blog posts and downloadable tip sheets to provide information on how families could utilize materials from their recycle bin to play together. They have also partnered with other nonprofit organizations to distribute play kits to families in need.
CLEARONE ADVANTAGE | BALTIMORE This debt settlement and financial education company partnered with Fells Point toy store aMuse Toys to give a sponsored donation of toys, games, and arts and crafts to Ronald McDonald House Charities. The firm also supported the Ortus Academy, Maryland Food Bank, and Josie King Foundation’s brown bagged lunch program for hospital workers.
COLLECTIVE CHURCH | FREDERICK This nondenominational church donated over $8,000 to local organizations and restaurants in gift card giveaways on Facebook, more than 2,000 cups of local coffee to front line workers, and over 1,000 face masks and face shields to Frederick Health Hospital, homeless shelters, and grocery store workers. They also provided over 800 donuts for Frederick Health Hospital employees and gift card meals to 20 of their own front line workers. Additionally, the church provided free socially distant drive-thru events with local nursery flowers for Mothers Day and local brewery beers and pop shop sodas for Fathers Day. The church donated over 1,000 individual snacks and cleaning supplies to a local shelter and a night of dinner and Zoom for a year to the Changed Life Recovery Program participants at the Frederick Rescue Mission.
i5 CITY CHURCH | GLEN BURNIE This church donated two cars to individuals in need, which was part of an outreach effort that included hundreds of volunteers passing out 100,000 pounds of food. i5 City Church partnered with Joyce Meyer Ministries, Lighthouse Church in Glen Burnie, God’s Pit Crew in Virginia, Anne Arundel County Food Bank, and Food Rescue Baltimore to source and distribute food.

PERDUE FARMS | SALISBURY Perdue is helping an Annapolis food pantry, which opened in April, to provide relief to families struggling during the pandemic. The food pantry will receive a donation of about 35,000 pounds of Perdue Farms frozen chicken. Food bank organizers say that will be enough to feed roughly 600 families per week through the end of the year.

EMERGENT BIOSOLUTIONS INC. | GAITHERSBURG This biotechnology company will provide contract development and manufacturing services beginning in 2020 to produce drug substance at large scale for commercial supply. The agreement is valued at approximately $174 million through 2021 and brings the total AstraZeneca commitment to $261 million. The company announced the signed agreement to provide contract development and manufacturing services for large-scale commercial drug substance manufacturing for AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine candidate, AZD1222. The agreement is valued at approximately $174 million through 2021 and follows an $87 million contract in June for development services, performance and process qualification, raw materials, and an initial capacity reservation.
NOVAVAX | GAITHERSBURG The Maryland-based biotechnology company, which has never brought a product to market before, just made the biggest deal to date with the U.S. government’s Operation Warp Speed. In July, the federal government announced it will pay $1.6 billion to Novavax for a coronavirus vaccine.
ASTRAZENECA | GAITHERSBURG In May, the U.S. government announced it was awarding up to $1.2 billion as part of Operation Warp Speed to the British drugmaker AstraZeneca, which has facilities in Maryland, to develop a COVID-19 vaccine as soon as October.
UMBC | BALTIMORE Professor Katherine Seley-Radtke is a medicinal chemist at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, who is developing a treatment for COVID-19. Seley-Radtke received a grant from Emergent Ventures that enabled her collaborators at UMBC and Cornell University to begin injecting an anti-viral compound in mice at varying dosages without toxicity. Seley-Radtke was selected as a grant recipient because of antivirals’ potential to lower the death toll and associated health care costs from COVID-19. She’s pursuing additional funding and has started collaborating with the Maryland biotech company Healion Bio, which is developing a new class of antiviral compounds called Healions. The company is working with UMBC to license Seley-Radtke’s fleximers to develop them into therapeutics so the two drugs could form a potent drug cocktail with broad antiviral activity against all coronaviruses.
ALTIMMUNE | GAITHERSBURG VIGENE BIOSCIENCES | ROCKVILLE These two biotechnology companies are partnering to manufacture a potential COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine, known as AdCOVID (TM), works to block infection by stimulating antibodies in the nasal cavity and can potentially defend against the infection and prevent spread. Altimmune aims to conduct the first vaccine trial by the fourth quarter of 2020 and is in talks with manufacturing companies to create at least 100 million doses in 2021.
KNORR BRAKE | WESTMINSTER Knorr Brake created a filtration system for mass transit HVAC systems. The patent-pending 3-Stage HVAC filtration technology was created to remove or eliminate a minimum 99.9% of airborne particulates, bacteria, and viruses, including COVID-19. The engineered solution guards against the spread of contagion by continuously cleansing the recirculated air during train operation.
MAXIMBIO | ROCKVILLE The National Institutes of Health (NIH) launched the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx) initiative in April to speed innovation in the development, commercialization, and implementation of technologies for COVID-19 testing. MaximBio answered the call, and in conjunction with the RADx program, developed the Maxim SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test, which provides results within 15 minutes.
JOHNS HOPKINS | BALTIMORE Hopkins has been awarded a grant from the National Cancer Institute to establish the Johns Hopkins Excellence in Pathogenesis and Immunity Center for SARS-CoV-2, or JH-EPICS, one of eight Serological Sciences Centers of Excellence to be established in the United States to study the immune elements that determine whether people get mild or severe COVID-19 illness following exposure to the virus.
UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND SCHOOL OF NURSING | BALTIMORE This nursing school put out a call to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members who can sew such cloth masks to help supply health care professionals.
UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, BALTIMORE’S COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT CENTER | BALTIMORE This center teamed up with the Southwest Baltimore’s Arabber Preservation Society to deliver 2,000 pounds of frozen chicken to Baltimore community members.
WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN | DC This nonprofit focused on hunger and poverty is working with Revolution Foods to distribute 10,000 to 20,000 individually packaged, fresh meals in Baltimore for residents to pick up and take home for the weekend.
CAREFIRST BLUECROSS | BALTIMORE This health insurance company announced a new volunteer program that offers licensed CareFirst nurses and behavioral health practitioner employees the opportunity to volunteer their time and expertise as cases increase during the crisis.
HOTEL REVIVAL | BALTIMORE This boutique hotel distributed free produce donated by Coastal Sunbelt Produce and Hungry Harvest and bagged lunches for those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
MARYLAND PACKAGING | HALETHORPE This food co-packaging and co-manufacturing company is using volunteers to produce a high volume of meals, including Lt. Governor Boyd K. Rutherford. Since the coronavirus crisis started, Maryland Packaging began donating 1,000 meals a week.
THE ARC BALTIMORE | BALTIMORE The Arc Baltimore provides services to support people with developmental disabilities. Now the organization is assembling care packages and distributing everything from daily necessities to board games to the homes of individuals with developmental disabilities whom the organization supports.
CENTRAL BALTIMORE PARTNERSHIP | BALTIMORE This nonprofit organization organizes the Square Meals initiative to provide hospital staff, including all doctors, nurses, janitorial, administrative staff, working on the designated COVID-19 floor and in the emergency department at Medstar’s Union Memorial Hospital.
CLARK CONSTRUCTION | BETHESDA This civil construction company assisted UnityHealthCare in standing up temporary COVID-19 screening facilities at five locations. Clark assisted health care providers, and safely delivered these facilities.
WELLER DEVELOPMENT CO. | BALTIMORE This real estate development company delivered food to communities in Baltimore, as well as hand sanitizer to front line workers and volunteers.

PATUXENT RIVER NAVAL AIR MUSEUM | ST. MARY’S This museum partnered with a group of volunteer makers and innovators to provide a space for the collection, assembly, and distribution of community-created PPE to local organizations in need.
BRINA FURMAN | BALTIMORE This event producer for corporate fundraisers and galas organized several blood drives and has secured hundreds of American Red Cross blood donations at three locations, turning to friends, neighbors, and contacts to donate their spaces, furniture, and vital fluids.

LIVING CLASSROOMS POWERHOUSE COMMUNITY CENTER | BALTIMORE This nonprofit organization has distributed 350 meals daily since March to Baltimore residents. With a donation from Royal Farms, they were able to feed 300 residents during their grocery giveaway.
END HUNGER IN CALVERT COUNTY | HUNTINGTOWN End Hunger in Calvert County has partnered with Calvert County school resource officers from the sheriff’s department to deliver 1,300 meal kits weekly to children who cannot access distribution centers due to Calvert County’s rural geography.
STORM CHASERS FIELD HOCKEY CLUB AND BAY HILLS SWIM TEAM | ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY Youth athletes from the Storm Chasers Field Hockey Club and Bay Hills Swim Team teamed up to raise money in support of the staff who run the Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program (VEIP) COVID-19 testing sites throughout Maryland. Their ongoing goal is to provide a meal from a local restaurant once a week for the staff serving at each VEIP COVID-19 testing site.
DAUGHTERS OF PENELOPE This DMV-based organization has members that have sewn thousands of masks for essential workers, distributed hand sanitizer to those in need, and handled grocery shopping for those unable to.
PIERPOINT RESTAURANT | BALTIMORE Pierpoint Restaurant teamed up with Harbor Park Garage to serve meals to the homeless, unemployed, and in-need. They have served more than 20,000 meals, seven days a week since the end of March.
PIPELINE SOCCER CLUB | LUTHERVILLE This youth soccer club is packing and distributing groceries to families in need during the pandemic.
CATHERINE FOUNDATION PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTER | WALDORF This center has continued to provide services and supplies all throughout the COVID-19 pandemic by offering curbside assistance, as well as delivering items to people with no access to transportation.
UNITED WAY OF CHARLES COUNTY | LA PLATA This nonprofit held a resource drive-up to provide food, diapers, hygiene items, children’s clothing, pet food, flea treatments, face masks, and cleaning supplies to residents struggling to make ends meet. UWCC coordinated this effort with 13 other organizations, impacting over 600 people with helpful resources.
CHARLES COUNTY LITERACY COUNCIL | LA PLATA This nonprofit adapted their program to distance learning tutoring sessions for adult learners to continue their progress and goals in reading, writing, math, and English.
THE ARC SOUTHERN MARYLAND | PRINCE FREDERICK This nonprofit implemented a virtual day program and daily social media activities to keep people with disabilities connected and engaged through the pandemic and program closures.
LATITUDE 38° | ANNAPOLIS The manager of Latitude 38° restaurant, Justin Schaffner, put together a network of firefighters, friends, and volunteers in early July to distribute a tractor-trailer load of milk.
CITY OF PRAISE FAMILY MINISTRIES | LANDOVER This church has provided groceries and hot meals for hundreds of families. Additionally, the church has provided masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer to all persons working in the ministry.
